About the series
In 2021, DC Comics unleashed a single-issue, over-the-top special from writer Frank Tieri and artist Tyler Kirkham. This one-shot spins out of the Dark Nights: Death Metal event, delivering a hyper-stylized, absurdly violent alternate reality where the Justice League is reimagined as extreme 1990s-style antiheroes. It's a satirical, knowing nod to the excesses of that decade's comics, filtered through the high-stakes chaos of the Death Metal saga.
