Darkhawk
Marvel · 1991–1995 · 50 issues
About the series
Chris Powell, a troubled New York teen, stumbles upon an amulet that transforms him into the armored hero Darkhawk, a high-flying vigilante with a mysterious cosmic origin. Running for 50 issues through the early '90s, this Marvel series blended street-level angst with sci-fi intrigue, anchored by writer Danny Fingeroth and a rotating art team including Mike Manley, Tod Smith, and Anthony Williams. A cult favorite of the era, it stands as a curious relic of Marvel's push for edgy, teen-led heroes during the speculator boom.
