About the series
In this 2023–present series from Daedalus, writers Bruno Lecigne, Christophe Deconinck, and Robert Silverberg adapt Silverberg's own novel Downward to the Earth, bringing a thoughtful science-fiction premise to comics form. Artist Adrien Villesange renders the alien world of Belzagor, where a former human colonist returns to confront the planet's transformed ecology and its intelligent, elephantine native species. Across just two issues, the series explores themes of guilt, redemption, and the weight of colonial history through a distinctly literary lens.
