Deadworld

In the late 1980s, Caliber Press unleashed Deadworld, a grim, post-apocalyptic horror series that ran for 17 issues through 1992. The book, most frequently written by Mark Bloodworth, Gary Reed, and Randall Thayer, with stark art by Dan Day, David Day, and Bloodworth, eschewed superheroics for a bleak world overrun by the undead. It helped define the independent horror-comics boom of its era, standing out for its unflinching tone and its focus on survival and societal collapse rather than simple monster-of-the-week scares.
