Death Note

In 2008 and 2009, the Danish publisher Hjemmet / Egmont released a twelve-issue comic adaptation of Death Note, bringing Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s iconic manga to a new audience. Scripted by Magne Tørring alongside Ohba, this series re-presented the cat-and-mouse thriller of a death-dealing notebook and its brilliant pursuer in a serialized format. It stands as a notable European-language edition of a modern classic, bridging the manga’s global reach with a dedicated local release.
