About the series
A short-lived but visually striking Image series from 2014–2015, Death Vigil was created, written, and drawn entirely by Stjepan Šejić. It follows an elite team of immortal warriors who recruit the souls of the dead to battle monstrous, otherworldly threats. The book stands out for Šejić’s lush, dynamic artwork and his blend of dark fantasy with a surprisingly warm, character-driven tone. Though only eight issues long, it remains a cult favorite for its unique mythology and heartfelt take on found family.
