In the late 1960s, Danish publisher Serieforlaget, later joined by Se-Bladene and Stabenfeldt, launched Demonen, a short but striking eight-issue series reprinting classic American horror and fantasy stories. The issues primarily feature the work of legendary Marvel writer Stan Lee, paired with the distinctive, moody art of Wally Wood, Joe Orlando, and Bill Everett. Though brief, the series stands as a fascinating international artifact, showcasing how Lee and these celebrated artists' pre-superhero work was packaged for a European audience.
