In 1972 and 1973, Condor published just three issues of Der Schwarze Korsar, a German-language comic adaptation of Emilio Salgari’s classic pirate adventure. The series was brought to life by the Spanish creative duo of writer Víctor Alcázar and artist Ambrós, whose dynamic, swashbuckling artwork gave the Black Corsair’s quest for vengeance a vivid, cinematic energy.
