Der Texaner

In the early 1990s, German independent publisher CCH - Comic Club Hannover brought readers Der Texaner, a 14-issue series blending Western tropes with the offbeat sensibility of European alternative comics. The series is most closely associated with the artist Kube, whose distinctive linework defined its visual identity across the run. Though short-lived, Der Texaner stands as a curious artifact of the German small-press scene, offering a low-key, character-driven take on the genre that contrasts with the more bombastic American Western comics of the era.
