Desperado

Set in the Old West, Desperado was a short-lived but visually striking comic from Lev Gleason Publications, running for eight issues in the late 1940s. The series was defined by the gritty, dynamic artwork of Fred Kida and Dan Barry, with Barry also co-writing alongside Robert Bernstein. While it didn't achieve the lasting fame of some contemporaries, the title stands as a notable example of the post-war Western comic boom, showcasing the muscular, noir-influenced style that would later define Barry's work on Flash Gordon.
