From 1948 onward, National Comics Publications of Canada Ltd. published a 10-issue run of Detective Comics that deepened the Dark Knight’s world through the steady hand of writer Bill Finger. With Bob Kane, Dick Sprang, and Jim Mooney handling the art, these issues refined Batman’s rogues’ gallery and detective style, cementing the series as a foundational pillar of the character’s Golden Age legacy.
