About the series
From 1981 to 1982, Mexican publisher Novedades unleashed Diabolico, a 79-issue supernatural comic that blended horror, mystery, and dark fantasy. Anchored by scripts from Stan Lee, Gerry Conway, and Allyn Brodsky, the series was brought to life with moody, atmospheric art by Gene Colan, John Romita, and Marie Severin. Though short-lived, it stands as a curious international collaboration that showcases these legendary American creators tackling eerie, non-superhero material for a Latin American audience.
