Die Biene Maja

From 1980 to 1981, Bastei Verlag brought the beloved children’s character Maya the Bee to German comics in a short, seven-issue series. Drawn in a warm, storybook style, these comics adapt the whimsical adventures of the curious bee and her insect friends, remaining faithful to the gentle tone of the original tales. While not as widely remembered as the animated series, this run is a charming piece of European comic publishing from the early 1980s.
