Die Jetsons
Tessloff · 1971–1972 · 21 issues
About the series
In the early 1970s, the German publisher Tessloff brought Hanna-Barbera's futuristic family to comic-book form with Die Jetsons, a 21-issue series running from 1971 to 1972. Primarily illustrated by Disney veterans Tony Strobl and Lee Holley, the comic translated the space-age domestic comedy of George, Jane, Elroy, and Judy into a charmingly retro-future setting for European readers. While a direct adaptation of the animated series, it stands as a distinctive artifact of cross-continental licensing, capturing the optimistic, gadget-filled spirit of the Jetsons' world in a compact standalone run.
