Dino Riders

A short-lived 1989 comic from Tyco International, Dino Riders was a two-issue promotional tie-in to the toy line of the same name. The series featured a futuristic conflict where a group of humans, the Valorians, used advanced technology to befriend and ride intelligent dinosaurs in their battle against the villainous Rulon. Though brief, the comic is a colorful artifact of late-80s toy-and-cartoon synergy, remembered fondly for its imaginative premise of armored, laser-armed dinosaurs.
