Double Impact

Ricky Carralero wrote and drew all seven issues of Double Impact, a mid-1990s series from High Impact Entertainment. The story follows a covert government operative who gains superhuman abilities through a top-secret experiment, only to find himself caught between his handlers’ shadowy agenda and his own emerging conscience. Carralero’s kinetic, stylized art and gritty espionage-tinged storytelling give the series a distinctive, low-key energy that stands apart from the era’s flashier superhero fare.
