Drácula
Buru Lan · 1972–1973 · 60 issues
About the series
From 1972 to 1973, Spanish publisher Buru Lan unleashed Drácula, a 60-issue horror comic series that brought a visceral, atmospheric take on the vampire mythos to European newsstands. Most frequently illustrated by the legendary Esteban Maroto, the series is celebrated for its lush, gothic artwork and moody storytelling, which helped define the look of Spanish horror comics during the early 1970s. A landmark in the genre, Drácula remains a standout example of the period's bold, adult-oriented comic book artistry.
