About the series
Dell Comics' Dracula (1962–1966) was a seven-issue horror-comic series that brought Bram Stoker's iconic vampire to the newsstands during the pre-Code twilight of the Silver Age. Written primarily by D. J. Arneson and illustrated by the team of Bill Fraccio and Max Elkan, the series offered a moody, atmospheric take on the Count, distinct from the more bombastic monster comics of the era. Though short-lived, it stands as a notable early attempt to adapt classic literary horror into an ongoing comic book format, predating the more famous Marvel and DC vampire titles that would follow.
