About the series
Dracula le Vampire (1980–1983) was an 11-issue French comic series published by Arédit-Artima, reprinting classic American horror stories from Marvel’s vault. The series drew heavily on the talents of writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gene Colan, whose moody, atmospheric work defined the tone, alongside contributions from Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, Jack Kirby, and Tom Palmer. It served as a key European showcase for Marvel’s brooding take on Bram Stoker’s vampire, helping to cement the character’s international appeal during the early 1980s.
