Dragonring

In the late 1980s, Aircel Publishing launched Dragonring, a 15-issue fantasy series that blended swashbuckling adventure with martial arts and magic. The creative team was anchored by the distinctive pencils of a young Dale Keown, alongside Barry Blair and Guang Yap, who together crafted a visually kinetic world of warring clans and mystical artifacts. Though it ran only from 1986 to 1988, the series is remembered as an early showcase for Keown’s dynamic style and a cult-favorite example of the independent fantasy comics boom of the era.
