About the series
A pioneering anthology series from the early 1990s, Drawn & Quarterly served as the flagship launchpad for the publisher of the same name. Under the guiding hand of editor Chris Oliveros, the ten-issue run showcased a stable of emerging alternative cartoonists, including Colin Upton and Michael Dougan, alongside recurring autobiographical and character-driven strips from the likes of Joe Matt and Julie Doucet. It helped define a new wave of North American indie comics, establishing a distinct voice for the publisher that would go on to champion literary graphic novels.
