Durango

In the late 1990s, the Dutch publisher Arboris launched Durango, a Western series that has continued into the present across 19 issues. Created primarily by writer-artist Yves Swolfs, with later contributions from writers like Hans van den Boom and artists such as Iko and Thierry Girod, the series follows a lone rider through the harsh landscapes of the American frontier. Its enduring run and European creative team give it a distinctive place in the modern Western genre, blending traditional grit with a European comic sensibility.
