EC Portfolio

Russ Cochran’s EC Portfolio (1971–1977) collected six pristine, large-format issues of classic horror and suspense art from the legendary EC Comics vault, published by Cochran himself. Most closely associated with the macabre mastery of artist Graham Ingels, these portfolios offered a new generation a pristine, unfiltered look at the gruesome, meticulously rendered panels that defined the publisher’s 1950s heyday. A vital preservation effort, the series helped cement EC’s lasting influence on the horror genre long after the comics code had silenced its original run.
