Edderkoppen

From 1967 to 1969, I.K. (Illustrerede klassikere) published 22 issues of Edderkoppen, the Danish translation of Spider-Man’s earliest adventures. This series brought Stan Lee’s defining scripts and the dynamic artwork of John Romita, Bill Everett, and Jack Kirby to a new audience, capturing the youthful, street-level heroics that made the character a phenomenon. As a key import of Marvel’s Silver Age storytelling into Scandinavia, it introduced Danish readers to Peter Parker’s personal struggles and super-powered battles, marking a significant moment in the global spread of American comics.
