About the series
Elvis (2003–2014) is a long-running Danish comic series from Egmont, spanning 19 issues that follow the surreal, deadpan misadventures of its titular character—a lanky, sunglasses-wearing everyman in a world of absurd bureaucracy and petty crime. Created by writer/artist Peter Snejbjerg, the series is a cult favorite for its minimalist art and dry, observational humor, often compared to a Scandinavian take on classic gag comics. Its sustained run over more than a decade cemented Snejbjerg as a distinctive voice in European comics, making Elvis a quietly influential entry in the modern Danish comic landscape.
