EP Doppio

Ediperiodici · 1973–1975 · 28 issues
About the series

In the early 1970s, Italian publisher Ediperiodici launched EP Doppio, a 28-issue series that paired two complete painted stories in each oversized volume, blending eroticism with adventure, horror, and fantasy. The series is most defined by the lush, cinematic painted covers and interiors of Carlo Jacono and Giovanni Di Stefano, whose richly detailed artwork gave the magazine a distinctive, adult-contemporary feel. A key artifact of Italy’s golden age of fumetti neri and adult comics, EP Doppio showcased the editorial ambition and visual artistry that made Ediperiodici a powerhouse of the era.
