Equal Time for Pogo

In 1995, writer and artist Mark Evanier, along with artist Steve Moncuse, revived Walt Kelly's beloved swamp critter for a single-issue comic, Equal Time for Pogo. Published by Jonas/Winter, this one-shot brings back the satirical, pun-filled spirit of the original strip, with Pogo and his Okefenokee Swamp friends taking on political and environmental absurdities. While a brief return, it's a fond tribute that reminds readers why Kelly's creation remains a sharp, funny voice in American comics.
