Erma Jaguar

From 1991 to 1996, the German publisher Kunst der Comics / Alpha released Erma Jaguar, a three-issue comic series that paired the distinctive storytelling of writer Gerd Benz with the lush, expressive art of Alex Varenne—who also handled writing duties on the series. Varenne’s sleek, atmospheric visuals define this short but memorable run, which stands as a cult artifact of early-90s European genre comics.
