Eternity Smith

From 1987 to 1988, Heroic Publishing introduced readers to the cosmic adventurer Eternity Smith across a nine-issue run. Co-created by writer Dennis Mallonee and artist Rick Hoberg—who also handled art alongside Tim Burgard—the series blended science fiction and superheroics with a distinctive, energetic visual style. Though short-lived, it remains a fondly remembered artifact of the late-'80s independent comics boom, showcasing Heroic Publishing's ambition to launch original characters outside the major publishers.
