About the series
In the late 1990s, Spanish publisher Planeta DeAgostini launched its own take on Marvel's Excalibur, a 40-issue run that chronicled the adventures of Captain Britain and his team of mutant heroes based in the United Kingdom. This series, distinct from the original UK-based team's earlier adventures, blended super-heroics with a distinctly European sensibility and a touch of Arthurian myth. While the creative team shifted over its three-year run, the book maintained a focus on the team's outsider status within the larger Marvel Universe. It stands as a notable chapter for fans of the characters, offering a self-contained, continental-flavored run that is less frequently discussed than its predecessors.
