About the series
In this four-issue Image series from 2009–2010, Existence 3.0 explores a world where reality itself has become a commodity, and a mysterious technology allows the wealthy to rewrite their personal histories. The story follows a man who discovers his own existence has been erased and replaced by a corporate version of himself, plunging him into a paranoid struggle against a system that treats identity as intellectual property. Written by Nick Spencer and drawn by Ronald Salas, the series is a sharp, darkly comic meditation on consumerism, memory, and the cost of a perfect life. It stands as a concise, early example of Spencer's knack for blending high-concept sci-fi with biting social commentary.
