About the series
In the early 2000s, Casterman published Extra Muros, a three-issue French comic series that explores a near-future where a mysterious, impenetrable barrier isolates a community from the outside world. Created by writer Christophe Bec and artist Stefano Raffaele, the story blends psychological tension with science fiction, focusing on how the characters cope with confinement and the unknown nature of the wall. Though brief, the series stands out for its atmospheric, claustrophobic storytelling and its meditation on isolation and human resilience.
