Familjen Flinta

The Flintstones, known in Sweden as Familjen Flinta, was a long-running newspaper comic strip adaptation published in Allers from 1962 to 1971, spanning 246 issues. Based on the beloved Hanna-Barbera animated series, the strip was most frequently illustrated by Harvey Eisenberg, Ray Dirgo, and Phil De Lara, bringing the prehistoric misadventures of Fred and Wilma Flinta and their neighbor Barney Granit to a Swedish audience. It stands as a notable example of how American pop culture icons were localized and serialized for European readers during the mid-20th century.
