Fantastik

In the early 1980s, the independent publisher Campus Editions released Fantastik, a 34-issue anthology that brought together the talents of Michael Moorcock and Howard Chaykin, among others. The series mixed science fiction, fantasy, and adventure, often serializing Moorcock's Eternal Champion stories alongside Chaykin's character-driven, politically charged comics. A distinctive artifact of its era, Fantastik bridged the gap between British literary fantasy and American underground-influenced comics, showcasing Chaykin's early, sharp-edged artwork and Moorcock's genre-defining prose.
