Fast Fiction

A five-issue series from Seaboard Publishing in the late 1940s, Fast Fiction adapted classic adventure novels into comic form, most frequently featuring the work of writer Dick Davis and artist Henry Kiefer. The series brought stories like Rafael Sabatini's swashbuckling tales to a new audience, with Jim Lavery also contributing art. Though short-lived, it stands as a modest but earnest example of the post-war boom in literary comic adaptations.
