Fat Freddy's Comics & Stories

In the mid-1980s, Rip Off Press released just two issues of Fat Freddy's Comics & Stories, a spin-off spotlighting the perpetually hapless sidekick from Gilbert Shelton's The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. Shelton and Paul Mavrides anchored the writing, while the art was a collaborative effort featuring Shelton, Guy Colwell, and Hal Robins. This short-lived series gave the beloved loser his own chaotic stage, expanding the counterculture humor of the Freak Brothers' universe.
