About the series

From 1996 to 2001, the French publisher Les Requins Marteaux released twenty issues of Ferraille, a scrappy, inventive series that blended punk energy with post-apocalyptic and science-fiction themes. Driven by the collaborative trio of Pierre Maurel, Winshluss, and Moulinex—who rotated writing and art duties—the series became a cult touchstone for its raw, DIY aesthetic and irreverent storytelling. Its importance lies in how it captured the spirit of the 1990s French alternative comics scene, offering a gritty, imaginative counterpoint to more mainstream fare.
