Fox Comics

From 1984 to 1989, Fox Comics published 23 issues of this anthology-style series, a raw, independent showcase from the small-press era that spotlighted emerging British talent. Most closely associated with writer/artist Eddie Campbell, along with collaborators Martin Trengove and David Bird, the title offered a gritty, offbeat mix of stories that helped define a distinctively underground, DIY sensibility before Campbell's later fame. It remains a fascinating artifact of the 1980s alternative comics scene.
