From 1985 to 1991, Carlsen Comics published eight issues of Franka, a German-language edition of Henk Kuijpers’ long-running Dutch adventure series. Kuijpers both wrote and drew the series, following the globe-trotting exploits of its resourceful, red-haired heroine. Known for its clean ligne claire art and intricate, puzzle-like plots, this edition helped introduce German readers to one of Europe’s most beloved comic heroines.
