About the series
A short-lived but historically significant title from the Comics Magazine Company, Funny Pages (1936–1937) ran for just six issues and is most closely associated with the prolific George Brenner, who wrote and drew much of its contents. Alongside artists Joe E. Buresch and Matt Curzon, the series offered a mix of humor and adventure strips that helped define the look and tone of early American comic books during the dawn of the medium.
