A short-lived but ambitious French series from Les editions de poche, Genius ran for nine issues between 1972 and 1973, offering a sophisticated, adult-oriented take on the superhero genre. The series is most associated with writer Jean-Pierre Dionnet and artist Jean-Claude Gal, whose distinctive, detailed artwork lent a European sensibility to the story of a superpowered being navigating a complex world.
