げんしけん [Genshiken]

In the early 2000s, Kōdansha published Genshiken, a nine-issue manga series that offers a warm, insider's look at a college club for otaku. Written and illustrated by Shimoku Kio, the story follows the members of the "Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture" as they navigate their shared passions for anime, manga, and gaming.
