Gigant
Serieforlaget / Se-Bladene / Stabenfeldt · 1966–1967 · 9 issues
About the series
In the mid-1960s, the Norwegian publisher Serieforlaget, alongside Se-Bladene and Stabenfeldt, launched the short-lived series Gigant, which ran for just nine issues from 1966 to 1967. This anthology-style comic drew on American talent, with scripting from Allen Saunders and Jack Schiff, and artwork from Bill Overgard and Sheldon Moldoff, though the identity of its painter remains unknown. A curious artifact of transnational publishing, Gigant stands as a snapshot of how European markets packaged imported adventure strips during the silver age of comics.
