Gilgamesh

In 1999 and 2000, Eura Editoriale published a 12-issue comic series reimagining the ancient epic of Gilgamesh. This Italian series, most closely associated with writer and artist Claudio Castellini, brings the legendary Sumerian king to life with a blend of mythic scope and modern comic sensibilities. Its significance lies in bringing a foundational work of world literature to a new audience through the comics medium.
