About the series
In this 2023 Daedalus series, writer Clotilde Bruneau, Christophe Deconinck, and Dieter Van Tilburgh team with artist Pierre Taranzano to reimagine the ancient epic of Gilgamesh for a modern audience. Spanning three issues, the story strips away mythic grandeur to explore the raw, human drives of its legendary king and his companion Enkidu. It’s a compact, visually striking take on one of humanity’s oldest tales, grounding the epic in emotional immediacy rather than spectacle.
