About the series
Globi, the cheerful blue-beaked trickster of Swiss children’s comics, starred in his own self-titled series from Globi Verlag from 1946 to 2006, spanning 62 issues. Created by artist Robert Lips and author Alfred Bruggisser, the character had already been a beloved figure in advertising and picture books since the 1930s. This long-running series turned Globi into a national institution, with each issue presenting his playful, often educational adventures through everyday life and far-off lands.
