Glory

From 2012 to 2013, Image Comics published a 12-issue reimagining of Rob Liefeld's Glory, spearheaded by writers Joe Keatinge and Emi Lenox and artists Ross Campbell, Jed Dougherty, and Owen Gieni. This series recasts Gloriana Demeter—the warrior daughter of the Greek gods—as a complex, reluctant hero navigating a brutal cosmic mythology and her own fractured identity. Stripping away 1990s excess for a more grounded, character-driven fantasy, it explores Glory's strained relationship with humanity and her fellow superhumans, including Supreme and the vigilante Die Hard. A thoughtful, visually distinct take on an old Extreme Studios property, it stands as a key example of how Image’s early-2010s titles redefined legacy characters with emotional depth.
