About the series
In 2010, DC Comics launched Greek Street, a three-issue series by writer Peter Milligan and artists Davide Gianfelice and Werther Dell'Edera. This Vertigo title transplanted the raw, primal energy of classical Greek tragedies into the gritty, modern-day underworld of London's criminal and political elite. Milligan reimagined figures like Oedipus and Medea as contemporary antiheroes, weaving a bloody, psychological crime saga that explored fate, violence, and family. Though brief, the series stands as a sharp, literary-minded experiment in updating ancient myth for a modern comics audience.
