Launching out of DC's 2016 "Rebirth" initiative, this series paired rookie Green Lanterns Simon Baz and Jessica Cruz as Earth's newest protectors, focusing on their partnership and personal struggles with anxiety and self-doubt. Written primarily by Sam Humphries, Tim Seeley, and Dan Jurgens, with art from Ronan Cliquet, Robson Rocha, and Eduardo Pansica, the 57-issue run explored a more grounded, character-driven side of the Green Lantern mythos. It mattered for centering two diverse, relatable heroes learning to wield the ring's power through emotional resilience rather than pure willpower.
