In the late 1970s, German publisher Bastei Verlag launched Gulliver, a 36-issue comic series that ran through 1981. Most frequently illustrated by artist Manuel Subirats Puell, the series offered a unique blend of adventure and fantasy, distinguishing itself within the European comic market of the era.
